New Delhi: On March 2, five diners at a restaurant in Gurugram reported that after using Dry Ice as mouth freshener, their tongues burned and they began to vomit blood.
Ankit Kumar was with his spouse and friends at the Laforestta Cafe in Gurugram’s Sector 90. While they were in the restaurant, Mr. Kumar recorded his five friends, including his wife, on camera. Their agonised cries and howls can be heard. A different woman squirts ice into her mouth and cries aloud, “It’s burning.” Meanwhile, one of the men throws up on the restaurant floor.

“We have no idea what they have combined (in the mouth freshener),” Mr. Kumar continues. There is puke all over this room. Their tongues are clipped. Their lips are searingly hot. I’m not sure what kind of acid they gave us. Then he requests that patrons of the café dial 911.
Mr. Kumar stated in his police complaint that “I showed the mouth freshener packet to a doctor, who said it was dry ice.” According to the doctor, acid can be fatal.
The sufferers reportedly experienced a scorching taste in their lips and started throwing up right away. Blood was flying from them in a hurry. Moreover, it did not assist to rinse their lips with water.
Two of the five hospitalised individuals are reportedly in critical condition.
In response to the victims’ allegations, the police have lodged a complaint against the proprietor of the eatery.
