Jones breaks down after calling Aaron Hernandez “Chico.” Hernandez, who joined Jones on the Patriots in 2012, was discovered dead in his cell in 2017 while serving life for the 2013 shooting death of Odin Lloyd.
“You guys thought my n—- Chico committed suicide in jail?” Jones asks before crying hysterically and removing the camera from his face. He closes the video immediately after pausing.
The video was released while Jones, who has been out of the league since the Raiders placed him on their non-football illness list a week ago, is rehabilitating.
After posting on Monday night that the Las Vegas Fire Department had taken him to a hospital “against my will” the week before, Jones’ mental condition has been questioned.
I’ve never broken the law. He wrote to X, “The cops said people were worried about me because of my online postings,” which was erased.
Jones has previously written several blog posts criticizing Raiders front management for isolating him from the squad and forcing him to use a nearby gym.
