Calgary, Alberta On Tuesday evening, the Calgary Flames defeated the Nashville Predators 4-2 thanks to three goals in the third period and the game-winning goal from Blake Coleman.
Calgary (4-7-1) is up after three straight victories following a loss in the last round of play. Three goals were scored past the goalie: Dillon Dube, Noah Hanifin, and Nazem Kadri.
Michael McCarron and Kiefer Sherwood were the Predators’ top scorers (5-7-0), with three losses in their last four games.
Using 17 stops, Jacob Markstrom ended a seven-game losing streak. That was the first game of the season that he has lost when starting in goal for Calgary.

After trailing 2-1 at the interval, Calgary levelled the score at 4:45 in the third. Coleman gave Calgary the lead for the first time in the game in less than a minute. Scooping up the ball and wristing a shot high over Saros’ glove, he decided to go for a two-on-one.
The club was behind 2-0 when defenseman Nikita Zadorov broke through the ice at 15:06 of the second period. With his second goal of the year, he let the puck drop to Dube, whose shot went past Saros’s mitts.
Nashville’s first goal of the season, scored at 4:35, came after an excellent passing play by McCarron. Marc Del Gaizo, a defenseman playing in his second NHL game, connected with Liam Foudy, whose touch pass to McCarron was expertly put inside the goalpost.
A single-game suspension was imposed on Andrew Mangiapane, who fell just short of reaching 100 goals in his career, after cross-checking Seattle Kraken player Jared McCann.
