Aamer Jamal is suddenly elusive after a good showing against Australia

With his incredible fifty-run in Australia’s opening inning of their third Test match against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Wednesday, Aamer Jamal became a member of an exclusive group.

Aamer Jamal is one of three Pakistani cricket players who have amassed more than 100 runs and claimed more than ten wickets in an Australian Test series.

The other names on the short list are Wasim Akram and Imran Khan, two of the greatest cricket players ever.

Australia defeated Pakistan by 313 runs on the opening day of the third Test match in Sydney.

At stumps, Australia had a 6-0 head-to-head total as payback. In the final Test match, Warner struck a four off Sajid Khan’s opening delivery to begin his innings.

Warner was given a guard of honour by the Pakistani squad, and as he approached the middle, the whole stadium erupted in applause.

Pakistan managed to post a good total on the scoreboard, thanks in large part to Aamer Jamal’s vital fifty late in the order.

Pakistan managed to reach over 300 despite being down to 227-9 at one stage, thanks to 86 runs scored by Aamer Jamal and Mir Hamza for the final wicket.

With nine fours and four sixes in 97 balls, Jamal scored 82 runs.

In 43 balls, Aamer Jamal scored seven runs without losing, and Hamza offered great support on the other end.

Mohammad Rizwan and Agha Salman had earlier launched an attack on Australia in an attempt to assist Pakistan in recovering from a difficult start.

Salman and Rizwan amusedly combined for 94 runs shortly after lunch, but Rizwan eventually reached 96 for five. It was tea time when Rizwan was taken out for eighty-eight.

After being left out of the opening Test match, Rizwan smashed two sixes and ten fours off 103 balls; nevertheless, Pat Cummins’ legside trap caught him.

Josh Hazlewood caught a pull ball that Rizwan top-edged at the final leg to achieve the highest individual score of the series for a Pakistani batsman.

During the tea break, Mitchell Star removed Agha Salman for 53 runs off of 67 balls.

With 5-61 statistics, Cummins was the most effective bowler and the first Australian to take three consecutive five-wicket innings in Test matches, a feat not done since Nathan Lyon in 2017.

After winning the toss, Pakistan lost four wickets in the opening session, and their skipper, Shan Masood, was out for 35 minutes following lunch.

Australia went on to win the three-match series after winning the second Test in Melbourne by a margin of 79 runs.
