The ACT Police found 21 stolen electric scooters and bicycles at a Ngunnawal home yesterday.
The owner of an Apple Air-Tag electric bicycle was abducted in December 2022.
The Ngunnawal police department was able to get a warrant to search the property because earlier this month the owner received an Air-Tag location update.
Yesterday, Thursday, December 28, 2023, the general duty police executed the search order at Gungahlin Station, and they were successful in finding the stolen e-bike along with other items.
Six electric bicycles, fifteen electric scooters, a car trailer, and number plates were found there during the warrant’s execution. The products that were recovered are expected to be worth about thirty thousand dollars. We are currently examining the objects that were recovered.

According to ACT Policing, registration is required for bicycles and scooters. Photographs and serial numbers are needed for the police and the insurers in case the items are stolen.
Scooter and bike owners register on Bikelinc. If the cops find it, it can be returned shortly. Customers’ capacity to verify stolen things makes selling them harder.
If you are able to produce proof of ownership and you think that anything that has been found but hasn’t been reported to the authorities belongs to you, please call 131 444 and mention reference number 7631621.
