Tuesday’s thrilling 4-3 win over Al Duhail at Al Awwal Park gave Al Nassr three wins in Group E of the AFC Champions League. Al Nassr beat Al Duhail thanks to Anderson Talisca, Sadio Mane, and Cristiano Ronaldo‘s double. In the first three minutes, Al Nassr’s in-form Anderson Talisca threatened Qatar from the right.
His off-balance left-footed shot missed Salah Zakaria in goal. Talisca, Ronaldo, and Mane’s final-third interchanges troubled Al Duhail’s defense; the hosts continued to dominate. Despite Al Nassr’s early pace, the visitors settled. Ismail Mohamed and Michael Olunga‘s pace caused Al Nassr’s backline problems with long balls.

Philippe Coutinho danced around full-backs too. However, stopping Talisca is difficult, as the former Guangzhou attacker scored first. Ronaldo’s pass found his teammate on the edge of the box, who headed it into the corner. Al Duhail opened the second half well with Coutinho hitting the post, but Mane was able to pull the ball down inside the box and guide it into the bottom corner to double Al Nassr’s lead. Ronaldo added a stunning long-range shot to make it three.
The Portuguese attacker fired a powerful 20-yard shot into the top corner from inside his left. However, Al Duhail persisted. Mohamed’s powerful header from Olunga’s left cross brought the score back to two.
Almoez Ali scored moments later with a deflected strike, making it an intriguing final 20 minutes. Ronaldo’s left-footed shot seemed to seal the match before Al Duhail could save it.
Sultan al-Ghannam again found him with a long pass, and the captain scored Al Nassr’s fourth. Still, guests carried on. Olunga scored twice with a curling chance in the box with 85 minutes left.
Al Duhail pushed and probed in the final minutes, but time ran out, and Al Nassr won all three points. On November 7, Qatar will host another match between these two teams.
