Monday’s Karachi Stock Exchange-100 benchmark index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) broke the 53,123 record.
The Karachi Stock Exchange-100 index increased 1.5 percent, or 792 points, to 53,915 at 3:20 PM from 53,123.It reached its all-time peak of 53,941 at 3:30 PM, representing an increase of 1.54 percent, or 818 points.
It reached 53,860, representing a gain of 737 points at its close. Karachi Stock Exchange All-Shares increased 464 points to $35,898, while KMI 30 rose 1,105 points to 91,428. Nevertheless, it is important to note that the market capitalization of PSX remains below its level in 2017.

People are wondering why prices keep falling over time. KSE 30 Index offers another perspective. This index, now 18k, peaked at 28k in May 2017. “Still, 35% down indicates that average share prices in PKR are 35% down,” tweeted Topline Securities CEO Mohammed Sohail.

“The KSE 30 is an index of only prices.” Not considered for dividends. He continued by explaining that the KARACHI STOCK EXCHANGE 100 is a total return index that takes dividends into consideration.

The total volume of the market rose to 546 million shares, an increase from earlier levels. The total trade value rose to 17.9 billion rupees on Monday.
Cnergyico PK Limited (PSX: CNERGY), Pakistan Refinery Limited and Pakistan International Bulk Terminal had the most buyers and sellers.Cnergyico PK Limited (PSX: CNERGY) had 68 million shares exchanged. On the scrips, there were a total of 37 million and 34 million transactions, respectively, involving shares.
