The 8th Thal Jeep Rally will be a public holiday for District Kot Addu and neighbouring cities on November 11, 2023. Deputy Commissioner Muzaffargarh Mian Usman Ali proclaimed the district holiday. District-level holidays have been consistently announced by the government. The Deputy Commissioner told the reporters that the mela and jeep rally would entertain the audience.
Kot Addu district, Muzaffargarh district, and surrounding areas will observe public holidays in honor of the Jeep rally from November 9 to November 12. All government and semi-government educational institutions will also be closed during this time.

The National Anthem was played to officially kick off the Jeep Rally on November 9. The vehicles were registered, tagged, and given a medical examination on November 9. On November 10, the qualifying round was conducted.

District-level holidays will be observed in nearby cities, including Kot Addu, on November 11 after Iqbal Day on November 9. On November 9, Pakistan’s national poet, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, was born. Kot Addu will have a district-level holiday on November 11 for the 8th Thal Jeep Rally.
At the Jeep Rally, every safety and security step has been put in place. There will be a significant number of police and rescue professionals on duty.
A fair is often held locally in conjunction with the Jeep Rally. Aside from regional dances, this also features food vendors, kabaddi, stage shows, fireworks, and musical evenings.
