At UFC 303, Michael Chandler will face Conor McGregor

On Saturday, UFC President Dana White announced the rematch between Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor. McGregor is all set to step back into the octagon.

On June 29, the two will square off at the UFC 303 main event at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Chandler has a 23-8 record in the UFC, compared to McGregor’s 22 victories and 6 losses. In July 2021, McGregor made his last appearance in the cage after suffering a shattered leg in a bout with Dustin Poirier.

Rumours circulated that McGregor and Chandler would square off at UFC 296 following The Notorious’ six-month drug test guideline violation. When things didn’t work out, though, White declared that Leon Edwards vs. Colby Covington would be the headline attraction at the final UFC event of the year.

As of right now, nothing is known about the main event.

On the current UFC 303 card, Michael Chandler fights Conor McGregor at a catchweight of 170 pounds.

Rei Tsuruya, flyweight, versus Carlos Hernandez

Cub Swanson faced Andre Fili in the featherweight division.

Michelle Waterson-Gomez lost to strawweight Gillian Robertson.

Remember that McGregor lost two of his last four fights to Poirier at UFC 257 and 264, but won an incredible submission against UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 on October 7, 2018.

The Irish fighter held two UFC titles and an amazing eight-knockout record. In December 2015, he defeated Jose Aldo in just 13 seconds, which was the fastest knockout victory of his career.

The 35-year-old lost all seven of his UFC fights between 2013 and 2015. In March 2016, he lost to Nate Diaz at UFC 196 for the first time.
