A family issue compelled Mitchell Marsh to return to Australia, but he promised his colleagues that he would return to India to support the Indian cricket team in the World Cup.
The legendary all-around athlete assured his colleagues in an email just before he departed that he would return “to win this World Cup,” but he was compelled to return to Perth because of what have been described as personal issues.

After promising to return “to win this World Cup,” a great athlete returned to Perth via email for personal reasons.

Like Glenn Maxwell, he was equally positive and energetic when I saw him yesterday. I didn’t see him fall from the cart or do anything else to prohibit me from discussing it. I’m not authorised to discuss his health, but I think he’s back and hope he returns soon.
Marsh, 32, would be missed for “his energy and his personality around the team,” among other things, according to Stoinis.. Marsh’s season was exceptional, and his century against Pakistan sealed the deal.
He knew that Australia had superb cover for him, even if he was looking forward to playing against England and making up for lost time due to a calf injury.
