In the ICC ODI rankings, Pakistan’s outstanding batsman Babar Azam reclaimed the top spot with the release of the most recent rating on Wednesday.

The ICC reports that the former captain of Pakistan has 824 rating points.

Virat Kohli, 775, and Shubman Gill, 810, of India are rated second and third, respectively.

When Gill was relegated for taking a break during the current series against South Africa, Babar Azam took over as the number one player.

The T20I bowling rankings now feature English leg-spinner Adil Rashid ahead of Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan in second and India’s Ravi Bishnoi in third.

With the departure of off-spinner Graeme Swann from the team more than a decade ago, Rashid is the second English player to top the T20I bowling rankings.

After scoring a quick century in the final match of India’s series against South Africa, Suryakumar Yadav extended his lead to 100 rating points. His closest competitors are Aiden Markram of South Africa and Muhammad Rizwan of Pakistan.

Usman Khawaja jumped three places to fourth in the most recent Test batting rankings following Australia’s victory over Pakistan in Perth. This put him ahead of Babar Azam and within striking distance of top-ranked Kane Williamson.

Following a strong showing against Pakistan, Khawaja’s partner David Warner has also climbed nine ranks to 27th, while Mitchell Marsh has climbed 12 spots to joint 68th.

India’s spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is still at the top of the rankings, despite moves by Australia’s captain Pat Cummins to third place, Nathan Lyon to fifth place, Mitchell Starc to eighth place, and Josh Hazlewood to tenth place.
