Chelsea vs. Manchester: London Bridge at Stamford Cole Palmer calmly converted a stoppage-time penalty for Chelsea, joining Raheem Sterling in a 4-4 draw against his previous club, Manchester City.
Chelsea had failed to score a goal in the previous six meetings of this fixture but rallied from three deficits to win a point against Pep Guardiola’s squad, which reclaimed the Premier League lead over Arsenal and Liverpool.

Early in the second half, Erling Haaland scored his seventeenth goal of the season from the penalty spot. However, Thiago Silva and Nicolas Jackson scored to tie the game at 1-1 and 3-3, respectively.
Sterling converted a low cross from the outstanding Reece James in the 37th minute, which gave Chelsea the only lead in a turbulent match. Manuel Akanji, however, was unmarked when he headed home Bernardo Silva’s cross, which tied the game 2-2 at halftime.
Four minutes from time, Thiago Silva was on the verge of enduring an incredibly unjust conclusion to the match when he diverted Rodri’s speculative left-footed effort past Robert Sanchez.
However, the game took an unexpected turn when Ruben Dias stumbled into Armando Broja, a substitute, and conceded the late penalty kick. Palmer, who joined Chelsea from City in August for a £42.5 million transfer, maintained his composure as Ederson correctly predicted four from twelve yards out to benefit his new club.
