According to General Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Pakistan’s enemies were “hell-bent towards creating fissures using religious, ethnic, and political vulnerabilities.” Munir made this statement on Monday.
“We have to stand together and united to rise as a resolute and strong nation,” he stated to the Christian community during a Christmas celebration at Christ Church, Rawalpindi, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to the ISPR, the assembly welcomed and thanked the army chief for coming to the celebrations. Additionally, Gen. Munir wished the Christian community a Merry Christmas.

Declared in the release, “COAS expressed reverence for the religious community and stressed the need for promoting greater interfaith harmony in society.” This statement emphasises the necessity of fulfilling the sincere wish to establish a progressive Pakistan that is unified with Quaid-i-Azam.
The army chief continued, reportedly saying, “Islam teaches us the lesson of peace and friendship and encourages interfaith harmony, which is the need of the hour.”
In order to handle complicated problems and crises, the COAS also emphasised “the importance of having the correct perspective, truth, and knowledge-based opinions about national issues rather than following rhetoric and propaganda.”.
It went on to say that Gen. Munir commended Quaid-i-Azam for his vision and leadership on his 147th birthday. During a speech on August 11, 1947, the head of state reaffirmed the independence proclamation, saying, “You are free.” It is free for you to visit your temples. In this Pakistani state, you are free to visit any other mosques or places of worship.
According to reports, the army chief stated, “Contributions and sacrifices made by the entire Christian community of Pakistan in all fields and domains” (ISPR).
