In October last year, Dolly Parton returned with Rockstar, one of her best and most exciting albums. In her performance, she covered some of the best rock songs ever recorded and wrote a few hilarious originals. She triumphantly returned a few months after the event with more rock songs and became a phenomenon.
Dolly Partonstunned her passionate fan following on Friday, January 19, as part of her birthday celebrations. Rather than putting out a follow-up album, the singer-songwriter released enough songs to make it work.
Dolly Parton did not, however, surprise anyone with her record release. Rather, the well-known country music artist added nine extra songs to the Rockstar tracklist, resulting in an amazing deluxe edition of the album. The project currently comprises 39 tracks and is roughly three hours long, compared to the original plan of thirty tracks.
On X, which was Twitter at the time, the number-one song expressed its happiness and posted a message that said, “Since it’s my birthday, I’m going to give you a present!” In addition to the tracks from the Rockstar album and a few more songs you may have heard previously but weren’t on the record, I’m releasing four previously unheard songs in honour of my birthday. I hope everyone has a great time and a nice birthday on my birthday! Hein.
“Mama Never Said,” “Stay Out of My Bedroom,” and the appropriately titled “Rockin’ It” are among the rockin’ renditions of her own songs on the recently released CD. Partonnene co-wrote a tonne of other rock songs with the other members of Rockstar, adding her own style to the hits. She sang a broad variety of song covers, such as “The Entertainer” by Billy Joel, “Two Tickets to Paradise” by Eddie Money, “Bridge Over Troubled Water” by Simon & Garfunkel, “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” by Pat Benatar, and many more.
Parton’s admirers listened to one more rendition of “Jolene,” one of her best songs, as though they could never get enough of her voice. In this popular song, the original performer and the Italian rock group Måneskin are doing a duet.
Rockstar, which Parton has been promoting for months, was finally released in November 2023. She even made her debut on rock lists, and several of her songs reached the top spot on the Billboard charts. The album was her highest-ranking solo release to date, peaking at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
