Hackers allege that Donald Trump is dead on his son's X account

The account made a series of now-deleted messages in which it claimed that Donald Trump was dead and called President Joe Biden a race slur.

Less than an hour later, the posts were removed from the page, which has 10 million followers.

The account was hacked, according to the Trump Organisation.

“I’m sad to announce that my father, Donald Trump, has passed away,” said one of the posts. In 2024, I’ll be a candidate for president.

There were “some interesting messages” involving known sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and “about to get smoked” threads concerning North Korea.

Others mentioned YouTuber Logan Paul and cryptocurrency influencer Richard Heart, who is accused of SEC fraud.

His father kept posting to his Truth Social profile after his son’s account said he was dead.

Andrew Surabian, the publicist for Donald Trump Jr., claimed on X that “Don’s account has been hacked,” but he later clarified that the claim was “obviously not true.”

Since then, Mr. Trump Jr. has posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, but he hasn’t made any mention of his account being hacked other than to “like” a tweet claiming to be a hack victim.

We’ve contacted X for a comment. The company’s automatic press email said, “Busy now; please check back later.”

Donald Trump Jr. is still using Elon Musk’s website.

Fearing it would inspire violence, the former president’s X account was suspended in 2021. During suspension, he founded Truth Social.Later, in November of the previous year, it was repaired.

Mr. Musk purchased Twitter in October 2022 for $44 billion (£37 billion), renaming it X.
