After his son McCanna Anthony “Mac” Sinise was diagnosed with rare spine cancer earlier this year, the actor Gary Sinise wrote a heartbreaking tribute.
On January 5, 2005, the “Forest Gump” actor revealed on the Gary Sinise Foundation website that Mac Sinise had died five years after a chordoma diagnosis. His age was 33.
Sinise added, “Like any family experiencing such a loss, we are heartbroken and have been managing as best we can.” “Losing a child is incredibly difficult for parents.”
“Even though we are heartbroken to be without him, we find solace in the knowledge that Mac is no longer in need of assistance, and we are moved and inspired by his success.” “He fought against an incurable cancer, but he never gave up,” said Sinise.

In August 2018, Mac Sinise was diagnosed with chordoma. Chordoma spreads after spine operations.
The NCI believes chordoma affects one million people annually. Chordomas occur in “near-important tissues like nerves and blood vessels.” Treatment may be difficult.
Sinise worked on his passion project with his right arm paralysed from the chest down. In his senior year, he played in his father’s band and with an old friend.
Sinise recorded a harmonica piece he learned in the hospital and an unfinished college project. Sinise recorded an album after his success.
The album, “Resurrection & Revival,” is coming.
“During his 33 years, he gave his family and friends so much, and in those final months, he accomplished great things,” Sinise added. Mac, many thanks. You prospered. Everlasting resurrection and renewal. You’ll execute. Forever in our hearts.
