Over 650,000 police, army, and paramilitary officers are on duty at the 9,000 voting stations across the nation, which are open from 8:00 a.m. (0300 GMT) to 5:00 p.m. Furthermore, Pakistan said that it was closing its borders with Afghanistan and Iran for the day due to security concerns.
