Song and record of the year Grammy nominations go to women, with Jon Batiste the only man.
Women like SZA, Phoebe Bridgers, Victoria Monét, and Taylor Swift are expected to dominate next year’s Grammys.
SZA has received the most nominations overall, nine, for her album SOS and its tracks, which span the genres of pop, rap, and R&B. The singer has been awarded one Grammy out of fourteen nominations to date. She competes alongside Billie Eilish, Boy Genius, Jon Batiste, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, and Victoria Monét in the record of the year category.

Seven nominations separate Victoria Monét, Phoebe Bridgers, and mixing engineer Serban Ghenea in that order. Additionally, Monét shares nominations with Ice Spice and Jelly Roll in the category of best new artist.
The song and record of the year categories are mostly female, with Batiste being the only male nominee. Batiste won five major Grammys in 2022.
With six nominations,Taylor Swift may become the first artist to win album of the year four times. Rodrigo, a three-time Grammy winner, got six nominations for her album GUTS and the song Vampire.

With 12 nominations and Eilish, Nicki Minaj, and Dua Lipa songs, the Barbie album did well. Four of the five visual media best song nominees are soundtrack songs.
Beyond music, Meryl Streep, Michelle Obama, Bernie Sanders, and Dave Chappelle are audiobook, storytelling, and humor nominees.
Three new categories this year are best African music performance, alternative jazz album, and pop dance track. The latter category includes Kylie Minogue and Troye Sivan.
Morgan Wallen, who received one nomination for best country song for Last Night, was passed over. The song went No. 1 in the US for 16 weeks this year.
Beyoncé became the most awarded artist in Grammy history this year, winning four during the 65th ceremony for a total of 32. Harry Styles’ Harry’s House won album of the year.
No host has been announced for the 66th Grammys on February 4.
