In Saturday’s 7-0 victory over VFL Bochum, Harry Kane’s hat-trick played a vital role in his victory over Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.
As the German giants set the bar for the rest of the division, the England captain contributed two assists to the overwhelming triumph.
Following his treble, Kane now has seven goals and three assists in his first five league appearances for his new team.
Kane has now scored more goals in the club’s first five Bundesliga games than Mario Mandzukic (2012), Miroslav Klose (2007), and Gerd Muller (1965) combined.

The forward’s recent 4-2 Champions League victory over Manchester United saw him add a penalty kick goal to his previous tally of eight goals.
Thomas Tuchel‘s Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting gave his team the lead after just four minutes before Kane scored his first goal of the day.
In reaction to a loose ball, the 30-year-old Bochum player was the one who swiftly blasted the ball into the far corner of the net.
Ten minutes after the break, Kane provided an assist for Leroy Sane and then scored from the penalty spot to give Bayern a 4-0 lead.
He also scored his third goal in the closing two minutes of play, turning Noussair Mazraoui’s cross in at the near post to give the home team the victory and earn Kane game MVP honors.
The striker’s consecutive hat-tricks in victories for Tottenham over Burnley and Southampton in December 2017 served as his final domestic treble.
Bayern maintained their perfect start to the Bundesliga season with the victory. They have four wins, a tie, and 13 points after five games, which puts them atop the league.
