Stephen Hendry says Ronnie O’Sullivan is someone “no one can deal with.” He’s trying to break his World Snooker Championship record.
The Scot believes his old opponent is trying to win eight world titles, despite Hendry’s seven.
On Friday, the Rockets defeated Gary Wilson in the Tour Championship semi-final to advance.
After the best-of-19 match finished in a 7-7 draw, O’Sullivan won three frames to reach the 64th ranking final of his amazing career.
Saturday’s semi-final match between Mark Williams and Mark Allen will determine his Sunday opponent.
Wilson had Ronnie O’Sullivan labouring early, but he made a crucial play.
As the finale approaches, Hendry views the 48-year-old as nearly unbeatable.
“When found, no one can manage that gear,” he told ITV. In the UK, he defeated Ding Junhui 7–7 and 10–7.
At the Masters, he won three sets against Ali Carter, 7-7, 10-7. Tonight, he repeated the action.
He dashes to the finish line. Today, Ronnie struggled to maintain good cue ball control.

At the last hurdle, however, nobody can reach him.
He reaches that moment at the end of a match when he won’t miss, no matter how hard the pot is.
“He gets done fast. He’s automatic. Say, “Okay, I’m going for it; nothing’s stopping me; the winning line’s there.”
This season, O’Sullivan won five titles, including the first two Triple Crowns.
He has never won all three major snooker tournaments in a season.
From April 20 to May 6, the Crucible hosts the World Championship.

According to Hendry, Ronnie O’Sullivan has everything to break their record.
“He’s won every tournament this season, but two or three stand out,” he said.
The World Grand Prix semi-final between Ding Junhui and me was the best snooker I’ve ever seen.
His performance continues. In the Crucible final for his sixth world title, he will be lethal.
“So I think he wants to get everything together in place; put him in a place that he can do to get him as good as he can be for the Crucible.”
Wilson was Hendry’s favourite, but O’Sullivan was better.
“He was good; he challenged Ronnie, and he made a game out of it,” he stated. Unfortunately, you’ll need endurance to follow Ronnie the whole way.
“All credit to him; he played well today, but ultimately not good enough.”
