Local media made conjectures on Monday, October 17, on the potential for a special court to investigate former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and prime minister Imran Khan for state secrets.
Khan and his principal assistant, Qureshi, were charged in July under the 1923 Official Secrets Act. Khan believes that the United States is trying to overthrow his administration through the “cipher case,” which involves alleged diplomatic correspondence between Washington and Islamabad. Washington denies having any part in this scheme.

According to a police complaint FIR obtained by Arab News, Khan and Qureshi faked documents and transferred sensitive material “with ulterior motives and personal gains, thereby jeopardizing state security interests”.
Khan and Qureshi attended the Monday case hearing after the special court revealed their October 17 cipher claims.
Geo News adds, “The date for the indictment was set after the accused’s attorneys received copies of the challan [charge sheet], which was filed with the court by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).”
Pakistani media reported the indictment.
He claimed Khan was dissatisfied with Rawalpinid’s Adiala jail judge’s handling of his three-year corruption sentence. August conviction. Khan’s conviction prevented him from running in January.
Safdar claimed Monday’s practice elevated Khan’s blood pressure. “The chairman protested that he was given a room where it is difficult to live in, as well as difficult to move or walk in the cell,” he said.
“The PTI chief objected vehemently during the court hearing.”
In the cipher case, he believed that a public trial would be better than going to jail.
In a special court, the FIA charged Qureshi and Khan with leaking state secrets.

A no-confidence vote deposed the 70-year-old cricket great in April 2022. Reports say Washington advised Moscow.
