A24, which distributed 2022’s Oscar-winning “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” previewed the 1980s Von Erich wrestling dynasty film.
A voice says, “We’re here to restore justice to the wrestling Federation that our father built with his own two hands,” referring to WWE. “Our inherited hands receive the Iron Claw from these hands.”

Their father prefers the bowl-cutting oldest and middle brothers, Kevin (Efron) and Kerry (Allen White). Their father demands a lot and sets unrealistic ambitions to develop his wrestling legacy from 20 years ago.
Unfortunately, the Von Erich family’s misfortune stops them from becoming famous as tragedy after tragedy occurs. Today, Kevin is the only Von Erich of his generation still alive.
Although Efron, 35, soared to fame as the star of Disney’s “High School Musical,” his role in “The Iron Claw” is his latest dramatic turn; last year, he co-starred with Russell Crowe in “The Greatest Beer Run Ever.” Efron portrayed the notorious serial murderer Ted Bundy in the 2019 Netflix film “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile.”
Before his breakout performance as a young Chicago chef in “The Bear,” FX and Hulu’s Emmy-nominated restaurant comedy-drama, Allen White, 32, rose to fame in 11 seasons of Showtime’s “Shameless.”

Harris Dickinson (“Where the Crawdads Sing”) and Stanley Simons play the other two Von Erich brothers in “The Iron Claw”. Jack Adkisson Sr., or Fritz Von Erich, is the boys’ abusive father, played by Holt McCallany (“Mindhunter”).
Lily James (“Pam & Tommy”) plays Kevin’s wife Pam Adkisson, and Emmy candidate Maura Tierney (“Liar Liar”) plays grandmother Doris Von Erich.
At the trailer’s end, their father says, “The Von Erichs will forever be the greatest family in wrestling history.”

When is ‘The Iron Claw’ in theaters?
“Iron Claw” opens in US theaters on December 22.
