International Photography Day With Some Great Click
A moment is captured by a photograph, a light flash, and a hushed camera click. More important than the format—film or digital—is the experience. Photographs may stop the passage of time and capture the mood of an event, a sunset, or a fish leaping from the water. World Photography Day is here!
Discover World Photography Day.
On August 19th, the world celebrates photography as an art form because it is so exceptional. We all have our favorite personal photographs, but there is another type of photograph that tells a story. They tell us about pivotal times in history or shed light on the nature of the planet. In the end, it’s true that a picture is worth a thousand words.
World Photography Day history
By applying silver chloride to paper, Nicéphore Niépce created the first photograph. Since he couldn’t wash the silver chloride off the paper, the image faded with time.
The development of the still camera’ contributed to the enhancement of photography. Compare the cameras used in the American Wild West to those used during World War II and then to those used now. The major technological developments had an impact on photography just as they did on other parts of global culture.
It’s hardly surprising that the photography industry expanded as the quality and portability of cameras like Kodak, Canon, and others improved, especially in light of their potential use in the fields of military and surveillance.
In spite of photography’s many advances in technology, science, and art, nothing can replace the simple delight of snapping photos and seeing them come to life in a darkroom.
