Milan Lucic, a veteran forward for the Boston Bruins, was reportedly arrested for an alleged domestic incident on Saturday, and the team stated on Saturday that he will be taking an indefinite leave of absence from the team.
Reports Boston state that Lucic was taken into custody early on Saturday morning.
We have reached out to the Boston Police Department regarding the arrest of Lucic, but the BPD has not provided a response.

The Boston Bruins have a statement that reads, “The Boston Bruins are aware of the situation involving Milan Lucic Friday evening.” Milan has decided to step away from the team for an indeterminate period of time. The organization takes these issues very seriously, and we will work with the Lucic family to offer any assistance and support they might need.
During the current campaign, Lucic has taken part in four games and has racked up two assists. Since the 21st of October, when he suffered an injury to his lower body during a match against the Kings, he has been out of commission and has not competed in any games since that day.
The Boston Bruins hold the best record in the Eastern Conference with a 12-1-2 record, making them the conference champions.
Former Florida Panthers deputy general manager Brett Peterson will manage the US men’s national team for the 2024 Olympics. He is the first black executive to ever occupy that role.
Peterson, 42, will choose Team USA’s 2024 IIHF men’s world championship team in Prague and Ostrava from May 10–26.

IPeterson became the NHL’s first African-American assistant general manager in 2020 when the Florida Panthers hired him. He was a licensed NHL agent and Wasserman Media Group’s vice president of hockey before that. Between the years 2000 and 2004, he was a member of the Boston College football team.
Peterson told, “I’m just happy to keep going and making sure we don’t have [these milestones] anymore.””I am a person of color by way of personal circumstance. We couldn’t help but fall in love with the games, and it’s been quite beneficial to me. I feel obligated to keep it available so others can enjoy my experiences.
Florida Panthers general manager Bill Zito calls Peterson a critical part of our management and scouting departments since coming. Peterson has been with the Panthers since 2013.
“I’m not only happy for him, but I’m happy for USA Hockey,” he told reporters.
Peterson believes rosters should reflect players’ personalities and skills. Unlike previous national teams, he won’t know the skill pool until NHL teams retire before the championships.
He said it’s ‘hurry up and wait,’ but you’re always wondering about the next step and what could happen.
The Vanbiesbrouck-led US men’s national team advisory committee will support Peterson. Islanders‘ Lou Lamoriello, Sharks‘ Mike Grier, Minnesota Wild’s Bill Guerin, and Devils‘ Tom Fitzgerald
Peterson is proud to have constructed a US hockey team that may have won the world title since 1960. The US has won bronze in three of the last eight competitions (2021, 2018, and 2015).
He stated that you do it for the honor of professionally and genuinely representing our country, not for applause. “You do it for the honor of being able to serve and to represent our country with passion.”
