In Toshakhana, Yousuf Raza Gilani appeared in court; Asif Ali Zardari submitted an exemption application from courts.
On various charges, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif would surrender before the Islamabad High Court and accountability courts.
Until today, the accountability court had suspended Nawaz’s arrest warrants in the Toshakhana case.
Nawaz Sharif’s attorneys submitted three appeals, one of which was to reclaim his Toshakhana property. The second and third pleader and bail bond applications were filed.

On behalf of Nawaz Sharif, Qazi Misbahul Hasan submitted the three applications.
On Tuesday morning, former prime minister and PPP leader Yousaf Raza Gilani arrived before the court as a nominee in the Toshakhana case with Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari.
Gilani marked his presence in court and then exited.

On the other hand, senior counsel Farooq H. Naik also submitted Asif Zardari’s application for exemption from appearance in the Toshakhana case.
In his reserved ruling, Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir said Nawaz Sharif’s arrest warrants will be renewed if he doesn’t appear in court on October 24.
The NAB prosecutor did not oppose the bail plea and suggested suspending the warrant if Nawaz Sharif wanted to appear in court, as warrants ensure court appearance.
Early in the morning, PML-N leaders Nasir Butt and Nehal Hashmi arrived at the court of accountability. Hashmi stated that the party did not believe in retribution and that justice should prevail. He continued by stating that the courts and chief justice exist to assure justice.
Today, a division bench at the high court will hear the PML-N chief’s application for the restoration of appeals against his sentence in the Al-Azizia and Avenfield cases.
On Thursday, a divisional bench of the Islamabad High Court granted Nawaz protective parole until October 24.

The bench, composed of IHC Chief Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb, announced the decision they had reserved the previous day.
In addition, the court enjoined the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) from arresting the defendant until October 24.
