UFC Fight Night: Arman Tsarukyan (21-3) of Georgia defeated Beneil Dariush (22-6-1) on Saturday in just 64 seconds with a piston right hand. The main event of UFC battle night at Moody Center was the fight.
Tsarukyan is now 8-2 after his greatest UFC triumph to date. He has lost two matches: the 2019 encounter against Islam Makhachev, the current champion, and the contentious 2022 decision loss against Mateusz Gamrot. Tsarukyan’s UFC debut ended on Saturday at the quickest rate of his career.
“I wanted to perform well, knock him out, go home, and get my title fight,” Tsarukyan stated. Beneil, I sincerely appreciate everything. I think he is the most well-respected boxer in our class. Not one person wanted to dispute with me. Beneil Dariush was the only one who felt the need to fight. I intend to challenge for the title in my next match, and according to him, I’m currently ranked in the top five. If it doesn’t occur, it is irrelevant. That’s what I’ll handle next. This is going to be mine.

The 27-year-old Tsarukyan kicked his body to deflect Dariush before launching a right hand. He was obviously a lot faster. Maybe not needed after Dariush hit the mat, Tsarukyan delivered four more right hands. Tsarukyan, sitting next to the cage with a few of his supporters, sprang out of the Octagon in celebration.
One of the strongest lightweights in the class, Tsarukyan, is beginning to draw attention. Despite his inability to draw in well-known opponents like Dustin Poirier, Justin Gaethje, or Michael Chandler, he has demonstrated his abilities by triumphing against less-known opponents like Damir Ismagulov, Joel Alvarez, and Olivier Aubin-Mercier.
Before Saturday, the 34-year-old Dariush had won eight straight races; this is his second consecutive defeat. Even though former champion Charles Oliveira stopped him by TKO in the first round, he was only one victory away from being eligible to defend the title in June.
