Treforest industrial estate: An explosion at an industrial park in South Wales has left one person missing, at least one structure destroyed, and a serious incident reported.
Around 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, a building in the Treforest Industrial Estate on Severn Road caught fire. Smoke and flames could be seen.
The two-story building was described by the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service as “completely ablaze” and “at risk of collapse.”
A Welsh Ambulance Service representative stated that three patients received on-site care prior to being released.
Following the incident, individuals were advised against visiting A&E unless “absolutely necessary,” and NHS emergency departments in the area were placed on “high alert.”
According to South Wales Police, there is now one person missing, but no major injuries have been reported.
The area is still advised to be avoided because of the severe traffic limitations that are in place.
