The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) unveiled the ICC U19 World Cup roster on Saturday. South Africa will host the competition from January 19–February 11, 2024.
Throughout the entirety of the competition, Saad Baig will serve as the captain of the sixteen-member Pakistan Under-19 squad.
Ali Asfand and Muhammad Zeeshan are also members of the team. The two also participated for Pakistan in the West Indies-hosted 2022 ICC U19 World Cup.
“I want to congratulate the 15 players who made it into the squad for South Africa, and I am confident that this well-balanced side has the capability and potential to perform well in the ICC U19 World Cup,” Junior Selection Committee Chairman Sohail Tanvir stated.

The Pakistan U19 squad consists of the following players: Arfat Minhas, Azan Awais, Mohammad Zeeshan, Khubaib Khalil, Shamyl Hussain, Muhammad Riazullah, Ali Raza, Ahmad Hassan, Amir Hassan, Naveed Ahmed Khan, Shahzaib Khan, Shamyl Hussain, Muhammad Zeeshan, and wicketkeeper Saad Baig.
The support personnel include team manager Shoaib Mohammad, head coach Mohammad Yousaf, bowling coach Rehan Riaz, field coach Mansoor Amjad, assistant batting coach Muhammad Masroor, assistant coach Umer Rashid Dar, team physiotherapist Hafiz Naeem Ul Rasul, team analyst Usman Hashmi, and strength and conditioning coach Imran Ullah.
The players who are a part of the squad will participate in a training camp that will take place in Lahore from the 28th of December, 2023, until the 6th of January, 2024.
