Pakistan Election 2204: The party avoided the National Assembly’s opposition benches, likely to form coalitions to win a majority.
Imran Khan‘s former party leader praised supporters in an AI-generated statement on his official X account for winning the 2024 general elections with a two-thirds majority. The statement claimed the party was getting “170 seats” through Form 45s to deny election meddling.
The PTI is discussing its next action, according to Central Information Secretary Raoof Hasan’s second statement. adds, “But it hasn’t been possible to have physical gatherings because most political officials are underground or in prison.”
At dawn, Mr. Hasan added, “We will hold intra-party elections soon, after which the party will again approach the court to regain its symbol (bat).”
He said internal party elections “will be held soon,” but not when. Imran Khan declared that the party will have internal polls on February 8 after the elections.
The ECP required new PTI internal elections last year. However, several furious PTI workers protested. After a legal struggle, the ECP deemed the elections illegitimate, stripping the party of its “bat.” electoral insignia.
Large turnout in Pakistan Election 2204
At a press conference yesterday, Mr. Hasan praised voters for voting for PTI-backed candidates in record numbers despite overwhelming odds.
He said leaders must accept people’s decisions or face “deadly consequences.”
The post-Khan “regime change conspiracy” overthrew the administration. The worst “fascism” and “reign of terror” in two years prevented the PTI from holding open marches or corner meetings.
The PTI official noted that “poll manipulators” had first slowed down the results announcement procedure and then stopped it to “tamper with the results” as late Thursday night results came in and PTI was gaining ground in the Center, KP, and Punjab.
“PTI candidates were clearly winning by a huge margin at night in some constituencies, including Islamabad, but ironically, their clear victory was converted into defeat in the morning because political engineering was going on behind the scenes,” he adds.

He also criticized the ECP, claiming that technological malfunctions at the eleventh hour with the intent of “tampering with the poll results” rendered its efficacy as an electoral watchdog in question until the engineering process was complete.
He stated attempts were made to rig the results to produce PTI-friendly administrations in Punjab, KP, and the Centre, despite PTI’s popularity. “We will use legal means to protect our rights and to stop any attempts to rig the election results.”
Mr. Hasan was advised by the PTI founder that he would not submit without democratic rule. He added that PTI would use legal and constitutional means to stop “interference of non-political forces” in politics.
The speaker warned influential people not to use public mandates to undermine administrations. He said this wouldn’t fix the nation’s problems.
In answer to a question, he underlined the PTI’s call for an impartial legal authority to investigate May 9 and charge the culprits.
The PTI leader also asked an impartial committee to investigate the February 8 poll manipulation and file charges.
In another inquiry, the PTI’s central communications secretary said the organization rejected retaliation. He emphasized PTI’s “wounds healing” initiative to repair the nation’s 75-year damage.
