In singles and doubles, Pakistani players Abubakar Talha and Zohaib Afzal Malik won the first Qatar Asian Junior 14&U Tennis Championship in Doha.
Pakistan’s Abubakar (WAPDA and SA Gardens) and Zohaib (SA Gardens) defeated Kazakhstan‘s Ansar Niyetkaliyev and Zhantore Sanzharuly in the 14&U boys doubles final. Two hours of intense play concluded 5-7, 6-3, and 11-9. After the battle, Pakistan defeated Kazakhstan 7–5.

Against all odds, Pakistan won the second set 6-3. Both teams played well in the third set to win. Same 6–6 and 9–9 ratings. Pakistan won the next two points with a better plan after maintaining quiet. They miraculously won the match and title in a super tiebreak at 11-9.
LGS Phase V DHA student Zohaib Afzal Malik thanked trainer Arshad Javed and coach Muhammad Khalid for their advice. At Ace Tennis Academy’s High Performance Camp, Lalu and Aisam Qureshi taught him new gameplay-enhancing skills.

Abubakar Talha of FG Abid Majeed School defeated Kazakhstan’s Dias Tulepbergenov 6-3, 7-5 in the 14&U singles final.
“By the grace of Almighty, the Ace Tennis Academy players are not only dominating the national junior tennis circuit but have also begun performing well on the international/Asian junior circuit,” veteran Aisam Ur Haq Qureshi stated. After winning singles, Zohaib Afzal Malik and Abubakar Talha’s Doha ATF Grade 2 boys 14&U doubles success is exhilarating.
“At the Aitchison College National Boys event, boys’ singles U-18, U-16, and U-12 titles were won by Ace Tennis Academy players Bilal Asim, Ahtesham Humayun, and Shayan Afridi, while boys’ U-14 doubles title was won by Hamza Ali Rizwan.”
President Salim Saifullah Khan congratulated Abubakar Talha and Zohaib Afzal Malik on their ATF 14&U singles and doubles triumphs. The triumph raised the country’s profile, he said.
