LAHORE: According to a story by Geo News on Friday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has seen that players are holding space sessions and responding to fan queries on X, the previous name for Twitter.
Sources claim that PCB made the decision to set guidelines for players’ use of social media.
The PCB is reportedly concerned that the athlete won’t get embroiled in any problems and that the central contract will be used to evaluate these social media exchanges.
Additionally, the regulatory board has chosen to talk with the players’ representatives about the difficulties in the interim. Sources claim that the PCB’s International Cricket Department has been given instructions to look into this.
Recently, captain Shaheen Afridi and the best T20I batsman, Babar Azam, took part in an X Q&A session.
The previous day, on February 1, Babar Azam hosted Space and fielded fan questions.

The 29-year-old covered a wide range of topics during his speech, including his career in cricket, life, and his parents. Babar was taken aback to see his friend and Pakistani wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan present when he was questioned about his plans for marriage.
Though Babar had recognized Rizwan at first, he persisted in inquiring about his landing technique.
“What is the date of your marriage?” Rizwan enquired. Babar answered, “I knew you would ask this.”
“It will need an answer from you,” Rizwan asked. “We’ll discuss this further in private,” Babar continued.
However, Shaheen chaired the meeting on February 4. When asked if he would consider bowling with former bowler Mohammad Amir in the 2024 T20 World Cup, the left-arm pacer responded negatively. Afridi has promised to inquire as to Amir’s willingness to rejoin the squad.
If Muhammad Amir is willing, I will discuss returning to Pakistan with him. Amir and I went bowling after nearly five years apart. We got pretty close and had a great time bowling together,” Afridi said.
