Imran Khan and the PTI remain the most well-liked political personalities and parties in the country, according to some of the most recent evaluations conducted on the ground. Punjab, however, has started to take a different stance.
In Punjab, the vast popularity gap between the PMLN and the PTI has reportedly started to close in favour of the latter, according to informed sources. The PTI’s popularity peaked a few months ago at about 15% of the province, but it is currently at 5%.
The variation in support between the two main political parties indicates that the PTI still enjoys a substantial advantage over the PML-N in the country. However, the PMLN has advanced in Punjab and is nearly prepared to offer the PTI fierce competition in the province’s general elections.
These sources, who cited the latest poll, claim that the PTI is currently enjoying greater national popularity than it did in 2018, the year of the previous general election. In relation to the PMLN, the party’s status has decreased since 2018.
Reports state that the PML-N’s base of support in Punjab has become more and more disenchanted in recent months, particularly following Nawaz Sharif’s return from self-exile. The beliefs that were prevalent prior to April 2022 are not the same as these ones.
