SadaPay allows Pakistani freelancers to use Apple and G Pay.

SadaPay, the financial technology company that earlier this year introduced a SadaBiz business account designed specifically for freelancers has now declared that users of SadaBiz can accept payments through Apple Pay and Google Pay.

The declaration was made during SadaPay’s inaugural Sada Summit, which was conducted at COLABS last Friday. Veterans of the IT industry, thought leaders in the freelancing ecosystem, and early advocates of SadaBiz were in attendance at the event.

On the agenda, apart from the Apple Pay announcement, there were panel discussions and fireside chats that were brimming with optimism regarding Pakistan‘s future as a global center for freelance work.

Apple Pay now has 550 million users, surpassing PayPal’s 450 million. Apple Pay has four times the payment volume of PayPal and is increasing exponentially. This Wallet is on over 2 billion iPhones worldwide. SadaPay realized the potential and need for the Pakistani market and freelancers to have a popular and trustworthy payment rail for clients to easily make payments.

SadaPay recently announced that SadaBiz will accept Google Pay, which has a similar global adoption rate.

They fills the vacuum left by foreign payment businesses that disregarded Pakistan. SadaPay connects Pakistani freelancers to 700 million Apple Pay and Google Pay devices globally.

The event also revealed SadaSchool, their new project. According to CEO Brandon Timinsky, this is a service to Pakistan’s talented kids. The free platform includes masterclasses to help freelancers become experts and a Discord community for peer support and mentoring.

They’ve assembled a network of specialists and thought leaders who hold regular seminars on graphic design, copywriting, programming, and other high-income talents. SadaPay wants Pakistan’s digital generation to contribute to the gig economy through SadaSchool.

Why is this important for Pakistani Freelancers?

Pakistan has had difficulty obtaining payment from outside clients despite its growing tech skills and freelancers. Without PayPal, freelancers and businesses have trouble getting paid overseas. However, Apple Pay changed things.

A freelancer in Lahore working with a New York customer no longer has to use third-party platforms and lose money on commissions and fees. SadaBiz lets you deliver a simple payment link to your client over WhatsApp or email. The client must click the link, select Apple Pay, and verify payment in seconds.

“Our vision is clear: the future of work for Pakistani youth lies in freelancing,” said SadaPay CEO Brandon Timinsky. “Apple Pay integration is a huge step toward this vision. This effort helps our skilled youth find jobs and remit foreign exchange into Pakistan.
