The 10th Tameer Awards 2023, honoring Pakistan’s smartest and most influential businesses, ended at Shell House. This year’s honors program had over 400 applications; thirty finalists were shortlisted for six award categories.
Event attendees included academics, corporate leaders, and industry professionals. A panel of experts judged the finalists’ pitches to identify category winners and runners-up.

An eminent council of executives held thought-provoking debates on entrepreneurship and innovation, encouraging start-up ecosystem growth.

Tenth Tameer Awards grand winners 2023:
Alga verse (Nayab Raza for Circular Economy), a microalgae-based biofertilizer producer that addresses food insecurity, energy problems, and climate change, supports farmers’ income. Mehreen Raza created She Guard, an herb-infused, biodegradable sanitary solution for empowering women. This product addresses menstrual hygiene management issues for women while fighting climate change.

Inlights, developed by Muhammed Ahmed for Transport & Mobility, uses computer vision and artificial intelligence to optimize traffic signal timing to reduce congestion and wait times. Bilal Afridi launched Creative 3D Pvt. Ltd. for Technology Innovation to increase the 3D printer market through local manufacture and industry-specific services.
Clean Energy Solutions’ Shemir Ahmed founded HaloPlast, a tiny company that creates water-soluble, biodegradable plastic bags with biopolymers and renewable energy.
For Brilliant Ideas, Touqeer Ahmed founded Bendcrete Constructions. Pakistan’s first to consult on bendable concrete, a safer, more efficient, and cheaper alternative to concrete.
Green Black Agri Solutions for Circular Economy, Bizb Store for Women Empowerment. Mehran Stairlift for Mobility, and Ecopulp Pakistan for Bright Ideas
Also honored was Mycohues for Clean Energy Solutions.
Since its founding, Shell Tameer has supported local economies by supporting entrepreneurship. A million youth have engaged in this program. Ten Pakistani companies received PKR 3.8 million in international trade incentives to expand into seven countries. Nine Shell Tameer businesses received the PKR 10.4 million global Shell ‘Top Ten Innovators Awards’ internationally and domestically.
