Pakistan’s all-around skipper Babar Azam lost his Men’s ODI Batting Rankings to Indian opener Shubman Gill after two years.
Shubman Gill topped the list after the top three Indian batsmen in One Day Internationals—Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, and Sachin Tendulkar—due to his great performance in the ICC World Cup 2023.
Babar Azam slid to second place for the first time in over two years after scoring 282 runs in eight innings and losing six rating points in his major tournament performance.
At the tournament, Shubman Gill has 219 runs from six innings, including 92 against Sri Lanka.

The great Indian batsman Virat Kohli rose three spots to fourth, one point behind South Africa’s Quinton de Kock, who was third.
With 543 runs from eight innings, Kohli is the second-highest ICC World Cup 2023 run scorer. De Kock has scored four hundred and fifty runs in as many innings.
After scoring 293 runs in eight innings, Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer rose 17 places to 18th. In the meantime, Ibrahim Zadran of Afghanistan rose six spots to 12th, and Fakhar Zaman of Pakistan rose three spots to 11th.
Rohit Sharma, India’s captain and Shubman Gill’s opening partner, is sixth with 739 points.
In addition to wrecking the ICC World Cup 2023, Indian bowlers were ranked in the top 10 in the ICC ODI Bowling Rankings.
The ICC ODI Bowling Rankings saw pace bowler Mohammed Siraj rise two points to reclaim the top spot, while Mohammed Shami rose seven spots to eighth after taking sixteen wickets in four tournament games.
Meanwhile, Jaspirt Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav gained three spots to fourth and ninth, respectively.
Shaheen Afridi, who overtook Josh Hazlewood as the top ODI bowler last week, slid four rankings to fifth and is currently level with Hazlewood on 658 rating points.
Australian Adam Zampa, who leads the league with 20 wickets, rose six spots to third place, while Sri Lanka’s Dilshan Madushanka, who leads with 31 wickets, rose 31 spots to 45th place.
