COAS General Syed Asim Munir warned Friday that resource theft and economic losses will be pursued rigorously.
ISPR said that the army commander addressed Sindh Provincial Apex Committee Caretaker Commander Minister Justice (Retired) Maqbool Baqar.
COAS added, “LEAs and other government departments will continue enforcement actions against a spectrum of illegal activities with full force to prevent the theft of national resources and economic losses resulting from these activities.”

National Plan by COAS
Gen. Munir was briefed on the Revised National Action Plan, the Kacha operation, the security of foreign nationals working on CPEC, non-CPEC, and private projects, illegal foreigner repatriation, foreign currency regularization, the Karachi Transformation Plan, SIFC initiatives in Sindh, and Green Sindh initiatives at the Apex Committee meeting.

The COAS emphasized the importance of synergy between all relevant departments for the success of the landmark initiatives.
Participants indicated state organizations, government departments, and province citizens support its success. The Karachi Corps Commander welcomed the COAS.

The army chief made comparable remarks at a meeting of the Provincial Apex Committee in Lahore the week prior.
Since the crackdown on currency and other illegal activities last month, the Pakistani rupee has surged substantially against the US dollar.
The rupee was the best-performing currency in September, rising 8.5%, or 24.4 rupees, against the dollar since September 5.
The crackdown has significantly decreased the price of gold in the country, which is now substantially below Rs. 200,000 per tola.
