Tecno is bringing a new spin to the already intense handheld console competition that has been building over the past few years. At MWC 2024, the Chinese tech company debuted a robot dog, further expanding its product line beyond smartphones.

Pocket Go Tecno:

Tecno Pocket Go is an innovative tech hybrid that combines a Windows portable console with augmented reality glasses to create an exciting new experience.

Wearing these glasses is like looking at a 215-centimeter TV from six meters away, thanks to the 0.71-inch micro-OLED screen. The spectacles also have a diopter that you can adjust to correct your eyesight by as much as 600 degrees.

The portable gaming console is 30% lighter and 50% smaller than competing Windows devices like the Asus ROG Ally; it looks strikingly like an Xbox controller.

Eight cores and sixteen threads give Tecno’s newest smartphone its impressive processing power, which can reach up to 5.1 GHz, according to the company. A specialized cooling fan and three copper pipes allow for effective heat dissipation, keeping the system cold. Additionally, there is a 50 Wh battery included that the user can easily swap out.

The complementary spectacles, known as AR Pocket Vision, feature a six-axis gyroscope. An artificial intelligence program that can detect and respond to the user’s head motions is behind this cutting-edge function, which makes it easier to use.

One of the features of the Pocket Go is the Tecno Smart Box, which is mainly responsible for managing games and configuration settings. It turns the AR Pocket Vision and Windows handheld console into mobile offices by allowing them to connect with other Tecno devices.

Level 1 Tecno:

Dynamic 1, Tecno’s robot dog, goes head-to-head with Spot, Boston Dynamic’s dog. Tecno claims it is going to provide a range of smart home entertainment, assistance, education, and training features, and its design is based on a German Shepherd. According to the business, it will be the perfect friend for people living in the future.

The Dynamic 1 can do tricks like bending and giving its paw thanks to its 45 Nm/kg torque output, which also makes it great at climbing stairs. The Intel Real Sense D430 depth camera and AI HyperSense Fusion System enable obstacle recognition and navigation, allowing for stable movement. The fact that it can adapt to different jobs with ease and speed is due in large part to its unnamed 8-core Arm CPU.

The Dynamic 1 has 64 GB of storage, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and is app-controlled. But it also accepts voice and remote commands. Its 15,000 mAh battery powers the Dynamic 1 for 90 minutes. The battery’s quick swapping and independent charge reduce the robot’s uptime.

The robot dog is merely a demonstration of Tecno’s technological advancements, according to the company, and its commercialization is highly improbable.
