The rising baseball star from Japan, Shohei Ohtani, revealed his marriage on Thursday, although he hasn’t revealed who his spouse is.
The Los Angeles Dodgers player went on to remark that, in addition to beginning a new chapter in his career with the team, he is also beginning a new chapter in his life with a very special person from his native country. In an Instagram post, the 29-year-old stated, “I am excited for what is to come and thank you for your support.” The post garnered approximately 1.5 million likes in less than an hour.
While playing for the Los Angeles Angels in 2023, Shohei Ohtani was awarded his second American League Most Valuable Player trophy in six seasons. A photo of his dog is featured at the bottom of the statement. “The two of us (and our dog) will support each other, and we hope to move forward together with all of our fans,” he added in a Japanese tweet.

He continued, saying that although he and his husband were “still immature in many ways,” they would be grateful for any help. “Sho-Time” Ohtani has become extremely well-known both domestically and internationally.
Known for his ability both as a pitcher and hitter, he was a major contributor to Japan’s victory in the last World Baseball Classic.
Prior to the team’s postseason qualification, the Los Angeles Angels cut Ohtani, and he left in free agency. After weeks of rumours, he signed with the Dodgers in December. His seven hundred million-dollar, ten-year contract was the highest in North American sports history.
He smashed a home run in the Dodgers’ preseason opener against the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday.
When Shohei Ohtani posted on Instagram that he would be holding a press conference on Friday, he pleaded with the media to stay away from his wife and her family.
“Who is the luckiest woman in the world? Greetings!” Businesswoman Junko Ito, 33, of Tokyo, told AFP.
“A bystander is lending him support. “I’ll give him even more support,” she exclaimed.
