PESHAWAR: The caretaker cabinet of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was dissolved following the death of caretaker Chief Minister Azam Khan.
After being taken to the hospital last night, he was unable to be rescued. He was sent to RMI Hospital Friday night following a heart attack, a spokeswoman for the facility said. His condition had become worse over the night, and he was experiencing heart problems.
Azam Khan was admitted to the hospital and held in the intensive care unit while receiving treatment.
KPK Muhammad Azam Khan, the acting chief minister, was a retired bureaucrat who had held positions as federal secretary of religious affairs, federal secretary of finance, and federal secretary of the ministry of petroleum and natural resources. He was the brother of Mohammad Abbas Khan, the previous Inspector General of Police, and he lived in the Charsadda neighbourhood of Padang.

He has previously held positions as secretary and chief secretary for a number of ministries. After completing his legal studies at the University of Peshawar, he went on to study at Lincoln University in London to earn his Bar at Law degree.
The opposition suggested that Mohammad Azam Khan serve as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s caretaker chief minister, and previous chief minister Mahmood Khan concurred.
It should be mentioned that with the passing of interim Chief Minister Azam Khan, the caretaker cabinet has also been disbanded. Syed Shams Saud Shah, the caretaker minister, led the province caretaker cabinet’s most recent meeting instead of Azam Khan. For nine and a half months,he served as the province’s acting chief minister. This is the second time that the caretaker provincial cabinet has ended. The caretaker ministers all resigned independently for the first time.
