For the first time in 263 PGA Tour events, Jordan Spieth was disqualified at the Genesis Invitational on Friday for signing for the incorrect score.

Jordan Spieth was three strokes ahead at the turn in the second round at Riviera, but he lost three shots as Patrick Cantlay, a member of his group, closed the gap. After a double bogey on the eighteenth, he trailed by ten strokes. He signed for a three but made a four on the par-three fourth hole, which cost him the game. Spieth chipped out from four feet out after missing the green to the left.
51 golfers will compete at Riviera this weekend. A 36-hole cut was made up of the top 50 players, ties, and those who trailed the leader in the main event by ten strokes.
With an early eagle, he took the lead and did not let anyone catch up. Following a six-under 65, Tiger Woods leads the Genesis Invitational by five strokes. Woods opted out of the weekend.
Not injuries, but illness was the reason Woods left early this time. Similar to the majority of the gallery, he withdrew after six holes and took an IV for two hours.
