The ICC accepts Pakistan’s explanation for Muhammad Rizwan’s tweet.

Muhammad Rizwan’s tweet about Palestine caused controversy in the Indian media, and they made an effort to have the International Cricket Council (ICC) punish Rizwan. However, due to the team’s organizational structure, it proved challenging to complete.

The International Criminal Court brought up the tweet, and sources indicate management told them that it did not include any political content. After presenting the Palestinians with the Man of the Match award, Rizwan did not say anything. Because the ICC was satisfied with Rizwan’s explanation, they did not make a request for him to delete the tweet.

It has been reported by certain sources that the Pakistani team in India is still permitted to use social media. Even if players are free to discuss the nature of the game in general, it is generally not a good idea for them to bring up controversial subjects during gameplay.

It is unfathomable that Rizwan would want to glorify the oppressed Palestinians in Gaza by making use of his team’s historic victory against Sri Lanka in the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023.
