The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday authorised Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), to run in the NA-130 Lahore constituency.
The documents that the PML-N supremo submitted were received at the ECP two days prior, according to party leader Bilal Yasin.
The previous prime minister’s submissions for the Mansehra and Lahore constituencies were examined today. The party assigned its legal team the duty of getting ready for any potential opposition to the supremo’s submission prior to examination.
Senior party leader Yaseen said, “By the grace of Allah, Nawaz Sharif’s nomination papers were accepted from NA-130.”
During a Lahore press briefing, Yaseen stated that Nawaz’s documents had been accepted without any issues. Amjad Parvez, the party chief’s attorney, escorted Yaseen.
The election to choose Nawwaz Sharif’s successor in this capacity will take place on February 8. He stated, “I will be elected to a fourth term as prime minister of Pakistan.”

The reporters said the inspection process answered the queries raised by the retiring police officers.
According to his attorney, the ECP has established a platform that allows candidates’ filed documents to be reviewed.
The lawyer added, “Nawaz Sharif’s case meets all the conditions given in the law,” and that the leader of the PML-N conforms with all ECP regulations in order to be qualified to run in the general election.
The attorney pressed, “The returning officer has stated that everything is complete from your end.”
He also stated that Nawaz Sharif had previously entered elections from his own NA-130 constituency.
“This is major news, as the situation was very ambiguous due to discussion about his disqualification in light of the Act of Parliament,” he stated.
According to the prominent journalist, this suggests that the leader of the PML-N might run in the general elections scheduled for February 8 of next year.
“If, after winning, the PML-N gets more votes, then he will become the prime minister.”
But any opponent may raise objections about the case in front of the electoral tribunal, he continued, and that would be the basis for a ruling.
“Now, if any objections are raised before the returning officers and they are subsequently dismissed, then the [candidate] can raise their objection before the election tribunal.”
He went on to say that a significant portion of the city, including the PML-N strongholds of Gawalmandi and Anarkali, is included in the NA-130 seat.
Our polls indicate that this constituency continues to have a positive opinion of the party. Nawaz Sharif has a good probability of winning this seat. Ansari claims that Bilal Yaseen is a candidate in the constituency on Nawaz’s behalf.
