The tied-for-record Indiana Pacers have won six straight with 50 assists

Tyrese Haliburton set a team record with eighteen of Indiana’s fifty assists, and the Indiana Pacers defeated the Hawks 150-116 on Friday night to win their sixth straight game.

Haliburton, who leads the NBA in assists (12.8 per game), collected eight rebounds and ten points in less than twenty-five minutes. Myles Turner ended with 27 points, the most of any player in Indiana. He finished ahead of Aaron Nesmith (15), Bruce Brown (17), and Benedict Mathurin (18).

The Indiana Pacers’ coach, Rick Carlisle, remarked, “The assist number is tremendous, and obviously an NBA and ABA franchise record is really strong and speaks to the unselfishness of the team.” That is reason to rejoice. But in this sport, the festivities are short. As such, we had to turn in for the night so that we could get ready for our Saturday journey to Boston. It’s the best exam in basketball right now.

The NBA’s top-scoring club, Indiana, defeated the Hawks 157-152 on November 21 to set a league season high, and they scored 150 points against them for the second time this year.

“I liked the way we played,” Carlisle said. “We managed to avoid fouls, which helped our defence, and we brought a necessary physical element.”

Dejounte Murray led the Hawks in scoring with thirty points. Trae Young shot 4 out of 18 for 13 points, but he missed his first seven shots. He only managed to make one three-pointer out of eleven attempts.

The Indiana Pacers shot 71% in the first half and led 78-54 at the break. Indiana shot 64% overall, while Atlanta only managed 43%. Indiana attempted and made 19 of its 39 3-point attempts.

Turner, who made ten of his fourteen shots, and Haliburton were said to have forged a close working relationship.

“We have one of the league’s best pick-and-roll duos, and we can keep improving on it,” Haliburton said.

Turner said that when the guys played together, they had a great time.

“This group has a different energy,” Turner noted. “This is the kind of place we’ve created where having a night like this is easy.”

It’s obvious that the Hawks were not having fun.

Quin Snyder, the coach of the Hawks, said, “There were games where you didn’t play well and we didn’t.” “Whether we played well enough to beat these players away from home is a question I have. They gave us a rough time, and it’s obvious they’re playing well. We didn’t have it tonight.

Snyder claimed that the Hawks allowed the Indiana Pacers too many easy baskets.

“We must retaliate with the necessary urgency against these transitioning guys, who started early,” Snyder said.

Andrew Nembhard missed the Pacers’ second straight game due to back soreness.
