Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner were believed to date in April of last year. When they reveal their relationship, people are drawn to them, despite or because of their modesty.
Their latest Golden Globes PDA last night proved this. The duo was filmed sharing a quiet moment inside the event before walking the carpet together. You may have seen it a hundred times this morning, but “Kymothee” kissed and said, “I love you.” Reaction to this discussion? It’s inconsistent.
After watching the short clip, some, like me, who had previously praised the duo, burst into delight, while others realised their love was more than a marketing trick. As before, they spewed their contempt, with Jenner taking the brunt.

“Why is he going out in public with this blow-up doll?” asked one reviewer.
Another said, “I thought he had better taste than that.”
Other ridiculous rumours about Jenner’s attendance at the party have circulated. Even worse, Kylie may have lip-read Selena Gomez’s conversation with Taylor Swift to prevent her from taking a photo with her boyfriend.
The cosmetics billionaire, who has 400 million Instagram followers and grew up watching reality TV, doesn’t appear to be used to this type of attention. Her “not being good enough” for Timothée Chalamet, a much smarter and superior young man, drives the story. Her acts, career choices, and sister shenanigans are unrelated.
Beyoncé and the others were initially hostile when they were seen together at a September 2023 concert. Amazingly, British Vogue covered the odd duo.
“Does he hold her make-up brushes while she contours?” asked the deleted post. Does she read Wes Anderson screenplays for him? Does he teach Stormi French? How exactly did they meet?
It’s depressing. These sentiments are misogynistic, regardless of your opinion on indie films or KUWTK. The fact that most women are blaming her for being the “wrong” kind of woman makes this discussion damaging. She’s unworthy because she’s not “coded the same” as Timothée Chalamet and doesn’t look like his fans. Only being rich and running successful enterprises is not enough.
Unfortunately, clever women may like style and beauty. They care about the world, even if all they publish on social media is bikini photos. Beautiful women voice their minds. This doesn’t have to conflict, and I’m tired of people criticising Jenner and degrading their relationship.
