TIKA opens an operating room at Pakistan's largest children's hospital.

A state-run humanitarian agency in Turkey, Tika, designed a “cutting-edge” surgical facility for a children’s hospital in the southern port city of Karachi.

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) built an operating room for the National Institute of Child Health (NICH), the largest state-run children’s hospital in Pakistan, to enable children to receive specialized medical care.

The Turkish ambassador to Pakistan, Mehmet Pacaci, the provincial health minister of Sindh, Cemal Sangu, the Turkish consul general in Karachi, and Halil Ibrahim Basaran, the coordinator of TIKA in Karachi, officially launched the operating room on Monday.

The health minister praised the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency and Sindh province, which has Karachi as its capital, for their “continuous dedication” to raising healthcare standards during the event..

He continued by saying that the development of the modern operating room has resulted in a “significant” shift in the relationship between Pakistan and Turkey.

Additionally, he praised TIKA for their commitment to supplying Pakistani hospitals with state-of-the-art medical equipment.

Pacaci highlighted the two countries’ common history and claimed that they had given each other “unwavering support” through trying times.

The speaker complimented TIKA for its humanitarian efforts in more than 150 countries and emphasized the many ongoing projects in Pakistan, such as Pak-Turk schools and educational institutions.

The guy in charge of TIKA in Karachi, Basaran, claims that the organization has contributed to over 80 healthcare initiatives throughout Pakistan.
