The schedule for the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2024 has been made available as Sri Lanka gears up to host the event for the first time since 2006.
- The action will take place in five Colombo locations starting on January 13, and the final will be held on February 4 at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium.
- The world’s top young cricketers will compete in 41 matches during the competition’s 15th season.
- The hosts, Sri Lanka, play Zimbabwe on the first day, and the reigning champions, India, start play the following day against the champions of 2020, Bangladesh.

U19 World Cup 2024 schedule
Between January 13 and February 4, 16 teams will play 41 matches for the title. Namibia, Nepal, New Zealand, Scotland, and the US join the 11 full-member teams from the previous round’s top performers.
The 15th edition will be held at P. Sara Oval, Colombo Cricket Club, Nondescripts Cricket Club, Singhalese Sports Club, and R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium. It will host the final on February 4 and the semi-finals on January 30 and February 1.
January 13 features three games. At the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium, Zimbabwe will play Sri Lanka. England plays Scotland at Colombo Cricket Club, while New Zealand plays Nepal at P. Sara Oval.
India, the 2022 West Indies champion, will defend its title against Bangladesh, the 2020 champion, on January 14 at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium.
Group stage winners in 2018 will start a new Super Six round on January 24. Two sets of six teams will choose semi-finalists and winners.

ICC Head of Events Chris Tetley said the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup has typically showcased young athletes to worldwide audiences.
This event made Steve Smith, Kane Williamson, Angelo Mathews, and Virat Kohli renowned. The 41 tournament games will continue as usual.

Each team will play two exhibition games three days before the game. Four of the five tournament sites will host them.
The hosts will strive to improve on their 2000 Final second-place finish against India.
The prestigious competition launched the careers of several famous players.
Australia, Pakistan, England, Bangladesh, South Africa, and the West Indies have all won the U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup. Five in India. Pakistan won two U19 Men’s Cricket World Cups.
