Usman Khawaja suffered a head injury during the first Test between Australia and the West Indies in Adelaide Oval, Adelaide
Australia defeated the West Indies by 10 wickets in the first Test of the two-match series. While Australia won the toss and invited the West Indies to bat first, the entire team of the West Indies was out for 188, while the team of Australia was also limited to 283 in its first innings in the second innings, where the West Indies team entered the field with the intention of leaking a big target but got all out on 120.
When the score was equal, Usman Khawaja was facing the ball from Sub Shamar Joseph, and the ball hit him on the helmet, due to which he suffered a serious injury.
Usman Khawaja felt pain in the place of his jaw and cheekbone, and blood was also coming out of his mouth. Marnus Labuschagne, who scored a run to win the match for Australia, took his place as he left the field. In the first inning, Khwaja scored 45 runs for the Australian team.
According to doctors, Usman Khawaja’s initial tests are clear. He’s still in the hospital, where they stay for 24 hours. There will be some scans of him, and then it will be decided whether he will be able to represent the Australian team in the second Test or not.

The captain of the Australian team, Pat Cummins, said that Usman Khawaja is looking fine. There is a slight injury to the jaw. So they will be monitored; if the injury is more severe, then they will not be able to participate in the match to be made into a brace on Thursday. In their place, Matthew Renshaw will be added.
The West Indies team is currently in Australia. India will play three T20Is, three ODIs, and two Test matches against Australia. The second Test of the series against Australia will be played in Brisbane on June 25. Travis Head was awarded Man of the Match for his brilliant century in the first inning.
For Australia, Josh Hazlewood took four wickets in the first innings and five in the second, whereas Shamar Joseph took the highest number of wickets for the West Indies, taking five in the first innings.
If you look at the record, Australia and West Indies have played 118 Test matches in which Australia has been successful on 60 occasions, while West Indies has been successful 32 times, while 25 Test matches were inconclusive and one match was tied.
