According to reports, prominent Pakistani broadcaster Zainab Abbas is currently dealing with legal repercussions as a result of Vineet Jindal, an Indian lawyer, filing a formal complaint about some anti-Indian tweets Abbas sent nine years ago.
Samaa TV, a well-known Pakistani station, claims that Abbas departed India and is currently in Dubai. The advocate reportedly denounced the Pakistani national to the Cyber Crime Department of the Delhi Police.

“Social activist and advocate @vineetJindal19 (Vineet Jindal) filed a complaint against @ZAbbasOfficial (Zainab Abbas) with the Delhi Police cyber cell. demanding the filing of a legal complaint for remarks made against the Hindu faith and beliefs and for anti-Bharat utterances under sections 153A, 295, 506, 121 IPC, and sec. 67 IT Act. Zainab’s name has to be removed from the list of presenters for the ICC World Cup immediately by @ICC and @BCCI. It was essentially saying, “Those who oppose India are not welcome in India.”
According to rumors, the 35-year-old, who uses the handle “Zaina Blovesrk” on her X (previously known as Twitter) account, made some derogatory remarks about the country and a specific faith more than ten years ago. However, those posts have all already been taken down.
Notably, Abbas’s visa to compete in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023 has been confirmed by the Indian embassy. The 1992 Champions are the overwhelming favorites to finish in the top four. TV host Abbas is well-known.
After defeating the Netherlands in their opening game, the Babar Azam-led squad will play Sri Lanka on Tuesday in Hyderabad.
