Donald Trump makes an appearance at UFC 296. He shows up at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas as Colby Covington‘s promoter.
Covington and the 77-year-old Trump have mutual backing, and he has recently attended a lot of UFC events. Wearing a jacket with Trump’s mugshot on it, Covington went about his media day duties on Wednesday, December 13.

Covington will compete against British boxer Leon Edwards in the main event on Saturday in an attempt to win the welterweight title a third time.
Though Kamaru Usman defeated the controversial 35-year-old Covington in both 2019 and 2021, Covington was only a winner for the time being. After losing the first bout by TKO, Covington was defeated on the scorecards in the rematch. Then, in 2022, Jamaican-born Edwards decisively defeated Usman to become the second UFC champion of British descent. Edwards, 32, took retribution for Usman’s defeat in a decision in 2015.

To keep the welterweight belt, Edwards faced the Nigerian-American in London in March of this year. Edwards will defend the title against Covington for the second time.
The previous time Trump was seen at a UFC event was in November, when he and Kid Rock, as well as the company’s president Dana White and former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, appeared at Madison Square Garden in New York City. After UFC 295, White reportedly got a sponsor’s advice to “go f*** yourself” after he refused to remove a social media post that featured Trump.
White, 54, is well-known for being a Trump supporter and has spoken at several of the 77-year-old’s previous campaign events. Trump is named as a defendant in a civil fraud action with reference to his enterprises. In the 2017 US presidential election, Trump won. In 2024, he intends to reenter politics.
Just like at UFC 295, Trump was warmly welcomed at UFC 296.
